Roddy

Roddy was rehomed one year ago but escaped from the new owner's house. We spent two whole days pasting posters and searching for her with the only wish to be able to find her back safe and sound.

Thankfully, we managed to track her down upon a call from a jogger who passed by Botanic Garden that evening. However, the owner did not make an attempt to join us in the search when she went missing.

Doesn't Roddy deserves a second chance to be rehome to an owner who will really appreciate and dote on her?

She is indeed a smart and loyal dog. Please email us for viewing of her.

Di Di

She is quite a shy gal who often hides.

However, don't be caught by surprise if she knows you well enough and showers you with kisses and wagging tail.

A tribute to Curly on Mother's Day...

(One of her 8 pups suckling her milk).

The 8 pups were first discovered on 10 Aug 08.
- They should be around two weeks old.

Candid Shots

Small Ace lookalike :P

Gradually, the no. of pups reduces as some were
knocked down by heavy vehicles.

smile smile :)

These were the few remaining photos of Curly's pups before some died. Too sweet a picture hence, decided to share with the viewers.

Memories lies in the hearts of those who remembered and love them dearly.
May they be happy and healthy in their own rainbow world.

Before we forget, here's wishing you a very Happy Mother's Day, Curly! :)

Oops.. btw, Curly was also brought into the shelter due to the opening of a new expressway.

Mao Mao

Mao Mao was also one of the dogs rescued from the expressway.

Lovely and gentle gal.

Good with other dogs and never heard her bark too!

Bob and Ba Ba

Left to Right (Bob and Ba Ba)

Both were rescued from the expressway.

Very lovely and never heard them barking before.
Will make loyal pets provided given a chance to do so.

Shelter Updates

The dogs were jabbed with ivermeticm today. This is just the beginning of their treatment.

Frankly, we can't wait to see them next week. Hopefully, there should be a slight improvement in their skin condition and of course, much happier and more good-looking unlike before.

Let us all pray and await for good news... keep a look-out! :)

Monk

Monk had been with us since she was a puppy. She was one of the lucky puppies who was rescued from Seletar years ago and was brought into the shelter, around the same time as Chez.

Whenever we had visitors, this lovely girl will seek comforts in the arms of theirs. She only yearns for a home to call her own.

If you lack companionship, would you mind to consider in giving Monk a chance to feel warmth in the comfort zone of yours?

Chez

Chez had been with us since she was a puppy. A quiet and tame dog by nature, she is the ONO hazel-brown eye sweet girl who resembles a pig in the shelter.

Used to be good friends with Monk but has since grown apart.

ps: Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Collar

Collar had to be brought in to the shelter due to an expressway which was recently open for operation. She is probably 2 years old. Not a fussy eater who enjoys cleaning up the leftover esp rice during meal time!

She is not affected even though one of her eyes does not look good. A very tame dog at heart.

Sweetest Taka

Taka, around 5 years old, was rescued and brought in to shelter after a close shave with pest control who was seen rounding up dogs.

Good with dogs and humans.

Updates as at 25 Feb 10: Beloved Taka left this world.
"Miss him, but let him go..."

Sweetest Jing Yi

Another close shot of Jing Yi.. our pretty gal :-)

Passed away peacefully in the shelter
on 9 Jun 09 @ 3.30pm

Jing Yi, less than one year old and is the last strong survivor of the descendant of Harlus family as her whole family (Mummy Harlus + 3 siblings pup died of unknown cause).

A very lovely sweet gal at heart who still plays and behaves like a small pup. Look how "sweet" her smile is. Isn't she a lovely baby? :)

Ace

Ace had been with us since he was a puppy. An extremely intelligent and smart fella who is able to open any gate from a certain angle!

Room mate to Lady.

Lucky

Lucky was found a few years ago at Defu industrial area with severe bites on his back. He was unable to walk or move and we had to seek SPCA's assistance to rush him to see the vet.

It was a relief that he was able to walk soon after and was not paralysed. Although his wounds were completely heal, he still cries at the slightest touch on his back. This poor chap!

Lucky requires grooming and an owner who is willing to shower him with lots of love and care. Even bathing him takes patience.

ps: He is indeed a handsome boy who shares a close resembrance to St Bernard. See to believe! :)

Shelter Updates

Taka (Top) wobbled to his feet and ate a little today. While he was munching on his healthy boiled chicken wings, he looked at us very sweetly with his innocent eyes. Was he trying to show his gratitude by saying "thank you"? :)

The dogs were bathed and had sumptuous meal which consist of lots of rice (they love eating rice!), minced pork, spinach, boiled chicken wings/liver. Yummy, the thought for food makes us drool.

Before we left, we fed them with vitamins and provide sufficient dry food to tide them during evening later - just in case they go hungry.

Goodbye doggies and see ya again. Remember to be "kwai-kwai" and NO fightings in the shelter pls. We are all ONE big family. Don't forget! :~)

On 27 Apr 09...

Brought Ace Gal (Left) and Jing Yi (Right) to Namly Clinic where skin scrapping tests were done by Dr Ling. Jing Yi does not have scabies but Ace Gal has scabies which is not the "classical" type. She wants us to weigh them so that she can prescribe ivermeticm injection based on their weights and will prepare the injections for us. Think got to do it three times.

http://www.marvistavet.com/html/sarcoptic_mange.html

Dr Ling will also prescribe oral antibiotics which can be easily purchase from the pharmarcy or hospital.
